Electric Car Charging Stations To Be Every Three Kilometres In India

The Government has proposed setting up electric charging stations for electric vehicles in India. Every citie will have EV charging stations at every three kilometres. While highways will get charging points at every 50km distance.

The government will also offer incentives, while also providing land from municipal authorities to those interested in setting up these charging stations.

In total, the government expects a requirement of 30,000 slow-charging points and 15,000 fast-charging stations.

Recently, the government proposed the reduction of GST rates on EV batteries. While also approving green number plates on electric vehicles, while also providing other incentives.
